GAI is a manufacturer’s representative for twenty premier producers of engineered products and specialties serving Florida and South Georgia for pumping systems, parts and supplies for boiler systems. Additionally, GAI is an authorized distributor nationally for over one hundred other recognized manufacturers. GAI provides a full compliment of pumping, heat transfer, hydronic and steam products and application/specification services to it’s various markets.

Established in 1952 by George A. Israel, Jr. in Jacksonville, Florida, GAI quickly became a leader in the emerging hydronic cooling and heating industry. Soon thereafter, with the addition of new lines and the recognition of Florida’s growth potential for hydronic air conditioning, offices were opened in Miami and Tampa. Jacksonville remained the main office and location of the warehouse.

As the 1960’s arrived, so did growth in Central Florida necessitating opening an office in Orlando. The company continued to grow, operating as a stocking representative for several key manufacturers such as Bell & Gossett, Hoffman Steam Specialty and McDonnell & Miller. The 1970’s brought many changes to George A. Israel, Jr. Inc. An office was located in Tallahassee and inventory levels reached all time highs in Jacksonville as the company began branching into wholesale distribution and representing additional manufacturers.

In the decades of the 1980’s and 1990’s economic growth continued. With over seventy product lines and a new warehouse in Miami annual sales steadily increased. The company expanded it’s sales force and customer service reps while winning numerous sales and service awards for exceeding objectives including being the top representative for ITT Fluid Handling Division three different years.

As we move ahead in the 21st Century in earnest, we look to the future with a direction and confidence that GAI will continue to be the industry leader and grow and prosper due to the hard work of all members of our team.
